Family Fun Saturday!

I can't believe it's been over a month since my last post.  Sorry family!  Things are moving at a pretty high pace here.  I really wish we had thought a little more about letting T play baseball this fall season.  It's been crazy trying to adjust to school, homework, baseball, & getting him to bed at a decent hour.  Oh well, live & learn, right?

This past weekend, T had a baseball game & then we surprised all 3 with a ride on the mini train in Fort Worth.  They absolutely LOVE trains. They could sit there and watch trains all day...I don't get it honestly. :) Last week, we took them to a train show. I was bored out of my mind but the boys (including hubby) just watched them go around & around & around & around..........you get the picture.  But it makes them happy, so I happily tag along & take pictures! :)

I witnessed such a precious moment between my boys while on the train ride.  As much as they fight (even the 1 year old), they really do care about each other!  All 3 rode on a bench together with little B in the middle. T & D were so concerned about him falling off they grabbed his hands & didn't let go the entire 45 minutes.  It may seem little to you, but it really touched me :)

After the train, we went to a little pumpkin patch near our house.  I love this time of year!

T was afraid the train was going to leave without me...

So sweet!

Again, so sweet!

Time flies...

We are now into the 4th week of school. I still can't believe my first born is in Kindergarten! I got an awesome report from his teacher yesterday.  He has made a lot of friends, listens really well, & has gotten amazing at writing his name.  I'm so proud of him!

Some of the things I've come to realize in the past 4 weeks...

1) My sweet Kindergartner takes after his mommy...He is NOT a morning person! Mornings have been a little struggle. With that in mind, on to #2...

2) So relieved I don't have to worry about doing HAIR in the morning!  The boys keep their hair pretty short so we don't have to do a thing...HUGE blessing since neither one of us are very joyful in the morning :) I can't even imagine how my days would start off if I had had a girl....

3) It's extremely helpful to pick out clothes & make lunches the night before...we've been really good at the clothes thing but not so great at making the lunches...needless to say, there have been a lot of school lunches being purchased. I have got to get better at that, its killing my grocery budget!

4) Kids grow up extremely fast when they start school....I thought I'd be walking my little man into school for AT LEAST a month or two, but nope, he informed me the second week of school that he wanted to be dropped off.  Believe me though, I'm really not sad, I don't have to get the other two out of the car.  It just shocked me...

5) Kindergartners have homework now!  Crazy!  However, my boy LOVES it.  He has his own little desk in our computer room now & will go in there to do his homework.  I'm hoping that enthusiasm will continue all through the school years!  Probably wishful thinking...if he's like his daddy, it will, but if he's like me, it will end in high school :)

My sweet little man...only a week old here.
See, he has always LOVED to sleep! ;)

5 1/2 years later....First day of Kindergarten!

They really do grow up fast!

Let's Do This!

So, I've been debating for a LONG time to start a blog.  I figured it might be the best way for family & friends to stay connected with us since we live so far away!  (Side note, I miss VA!)  I just haven't sat down and taken the time to work on it....until now, that is! :)

Since most people viewing this will be family & friends, I don't really feel a need to introduce myself.  You should all know me ;)

So, here is the start of me blogging.  Let's hope I stick with it.

Love you all!

I'll end with some recent pics of my boys :)

Ummm....who else thinks it's time for MOMMY to get her jeep???
