Time flies...

We are now into the 4th week of school. I still can't believe my first born is in Kindergarten! I got an awesome report from his teacher yesterday.  He has made a lot of friends, listens really well, & has gotten amazing at writing his name.  I'm so proud of him!

Some of the things I've come to realize in the past 4 weeks...

1) My sweet Kindergartner takes after his mommy...He is NOT a morning person! Mornings have been a little struggle. With that in mind, on to #2...

2) So relieved I don't have to worry about doing HAIR in the morning!  The boys keep their hair pretty short so we don't have to do a thing...HUGE blessing since neither one of us are very joyful in the morning :) I can't even imagine how my days would start off if I had had a girl....

3) It's extremely helpful to pick out clothes & make lunches the night before...we've been really good at the clothes thing but not so great at making the lunches...needless to say, there have been a lot of school lunches being purchased. I have got to get better at that, its killing my grocery budget!

4) Kids grow up extremely fast when they start school....I thought I'd be walking my little man into school for AT LEAST a month or two, but nope, he informed me the second week of school that he wanted to be dropped off.  Believe me though, I'm really not sad, I don't have to get the other two out of the car.  It just shocked me...

5) Kindergartners have homework now!  Crazy!  However, my boy LOVES it.  He has his own little desk in our computer room now & will go in there to do his homework.  I'm hoping that enthusiasm will continue all through the school years!  Probably wishful thinking...if he's like his daddy, it will, but if he's like me, it will end in high school :)

My sweet little man...only a week old here.
See, he has always LOVED to sleep! ;)

5 1/2 years later....First day of Kindergarten!

They really do grow up fast!
